Ways to Connect BYOC

There are two main ways to connect your carrier using BYOC:

SIP Forwarding

Route inbound calls from your carrier to your platform using a SIP address or URI.
Common for simpler integrations or single-direction call routing, like Amazon Connect, Webex, etc.

SIP Integration (SBC or Trunk Integration)

Establishes a full SIP connection between your carrier and the platform via SIP trunking or a secure SBC connection, depending on the integration.
Enables both inbound and outbound calling through your existing phone numbers.
Typically used for enterprise-grade solutions such as Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Genesys Cloud, or Twilio.
